Something for the Boys

This is for my nephew who will be one tomorrow!
Happy Birthday Kiece

His birthday theme is Thomas the Train. The pants are made out of seersucker, which I love!

A close up of the detail on the front and a cute little something on the back
I wanted the pants to look like those overalls that I think Conductors wear... or use to? Not sure on that, anyway... I also made a little pocket and a hammer hanger or whatever they are called
Little man is going to look so handsome for his party!
Love Auntie :)

Happy Birthday Squirrell Chicken

I wanted to post this before things get crazy in a few hours with all the birthday madness! At exactly 3:31 am one year ago (after 30 and 1/2 hours of labor... yes thats right, 30 and 1/2) this precious angel was placed on my chest and forever in my heart. I will admit... as I type this big tears are forming in my eyes. I cannot believe that a year has gone by already! When Madison had the colic and cried for 2 months straight, I remember telling Josh that it would be ok, it wont last forever. At the time I did not know how true it was. She is the funniest, sweetest, and most wonderful person I have ever met. Everyday she does something new and I learn something from her everyday.
Happy Birthday Maddie

Oh yeah, most of you are probably scratching your head at the title of this post. When we brought Madison home from the hospital Josh started calling her Squirrell Chicken. I have no idea where it came from but it has stuck with her. I know that is an awful nickname but what can ya do!

Addressing an issue

A few days ago an anonymous comment was left on my blog that I would like to address...
I appreciate those who take the time to read my blog and I welcome your comments. I also welcome criticism (constructive criticism please, and thank you :) However, I don't appreciate it left as a comment for everyone to see. I have put my email and phone number on here for a reason. Any problems, criticisms and questions will be addressed there. To leave a critical comment on any blog is TACKY and CLASS-LESS. Also, to preface a comment with "not to be mean or rude" does NOT dismiss the fact that it was mean and rude.

If anonymous would like to call or email me to let me know which dresses needed to be fixed I would be happy to do so.

Thanks for listening to me vent!

Please Pray

For everyone watching the news.... Josh is safe. We are safe, Just enamored that something like this can happen on a Military Post. Please keep all Ft. Hood Soldiers and their families in your prayers.
